Public grants from the Government of the Balearic Islands, funded through the Spanish insularity allocation, designed to promote clean energy generation, energy efficiency and reduced energy demand across the islands.
The programme aims to advance energy self-sufficiency in the Balearic Islands through four areas of activity: solar photovoltaic installations, new air source heat pump systems, the addition of battery storage to existing photovoltaic installations, and private electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
The total funding for this round is €12,559,456.51, allocated across 2026 and 2027. Grants are awarded on a non-competitive basis, meaning applications are processed strictly in order of receipt until funds are exhausted.
Eligible applicants include private individuals resident in the Balearic Islands, sole traders, SMEs, large businesses, public bodies, residents’ associations, renewable energy communities, NGOs and non-profit organisations.
The grant can cover up to 70% of eligible costs for private individuals and public sector bodies not engaged in economic activity, for solar, heat pump and EV charging installations, and up to 60% for battery storage. For businesses, the percentage varies depending on company size.
The maximum grant award is €300,000 per beneficiary across all programmes combined. For air source heat pump installations, the cap is €25,000 for private individuals and €100,000 for businesses and other entities. For EV charging infrastructure, the maximum is €12,000 per installation.
Deadline for submitting applications: Applications close on 28 February 2027, or earlier should the available budget be fully committed. The final deadline for completion of all works and installations is 15 September 2027.
